California retrospective
My dear readers, I am sorry for the lack of posts in the last weeks but after arriving back from California I was so relaxed that I almost forgot blogging although I always thought about my blog. But now I am back and I have to say, the holiday was awesome, so relaxing and great! California is really worth traveling. L.A. has this special vibrancy and our house was so beautiful. We didn’t feel like tourists as we were right in the middle. Las Vegas was just crazy and hot! Here are some impressions.
Meine lieben Leser, es tut mir leid, dass ich in den letzten Wochen bzw. Monaten so wenig gepostet habe, aber nach meinem Kalifornien Urlaub war ich so relaxed und entspannt, dass ich fast vergaß zu bloggen, wobei an meinen Blog hab ich natürlich schon gedacht. Aber jetzt bin ich zurück und der Urlaub war einfach großartig. Es war total entspannend und Kalifornien ist wirklich eine Reise wert. L.A. hat diese ganz spezielle Ausstrahlung und unser Haus im Laurel Canyon war wunderbar. Wir haben uns nicht wirklich wie Touristen gefühlt, wir wohnten ja mittendrin. Las Vegas war einfach nur verrückt und unglaublich heiß! Man konnte sich kaum am wunderschönen Pool aufhalten, die Schattenplätze waren natürlich immer sofort weg. Hier ein paar Urlaubseindrücke.

Wishlist – US Special
It’s getting serious, only two weeks left until we start our trip to LA and Las Vegas. I am so looking forward to it. I finally managed to write a list with all the stuff I need to pack, stuff I still need to buy and so on… I also had some time to make a little list of the things I wanna buy in the US. I also found some great clothes at Asos Curve. As far as I can see, I have to raise the budget. Let’s take a look!
Jetzt’ wird’s schön langsam ernst, in nicht mal mehr zwei Wochen brechen wir auf zu unserem Trip nach LA und Las Vegas. Ich freue mich wirklich schon wahnsinnig drauf! Endlich hab ich es auch mal geschafft, eine Liste zu machen mit Dingen die ich einpacken muss, Dingen die ich noch besorgen muss usw.
Und hier noch ein paar Eindrücke was wohl so in meinen USA Einkaufskorb wandern wird (ich seh schon, ich werde wohl mein Budget erhöhen müssen). Außerdem hab ich bei Asos Curve wieder ein paar geniale Klamotten entdeckt!
Natürlich wird es nur eine der drei Michael Kors Uhren werden!

Decoration
This is my first post about interior. I love decorating the house with flowers and my favorite are white and pastel colors. I will show you a book from an interior designer which I really adore, it’s Kelly Hoppen. I have two books from her and I really love her style. It’s modern classic and she never put’s too much stuff in a room. I tried to copy her a bit with my flower arrangements… it’s a beginning….
Hier also mein erster Post über Inneneinrichtung. Ich liebe es, unser Haus mit Blumen zu dekorieren, am liebsten nehme ich dazu weiße oder pastellfarbene Blumen. Ich möchte Euch hier auch ein Buch meiner Lieblings-Interiordesignerin vorstellen. Sie heißt Kelly Hoppen und ich finde ihren Einrichtungsstil großartig! Es ist eine gelungene Mischung aus klassischen Stücken und Farben und moderner Einrichtung. Sie überlädt die Räume auch nicht mit Dekoration. Ich habe mal versucht sie mit meinem Blumenarrangement zu kopieren. Na ja, immerhin ein Anfang…

California Coral
I don’t know if it’s the excitement about the coming holiday in California but I had to order this nail polish from Essie called “California Coral” last week on amazon.de. I received it yesterday and I have to say I am not that satisfied with it. The colour is too pink for me and for those who know me better this is not a surprise because I really don’t like pink at all! But I gave it a try today and on the photos it doesn’t look that bad and maybe to a summer outfit it might be different but at the moment I don’t know if I can get used to this colour as I normally wear red like really red or dark red or other dark colours on my nails. Let’s see if summer brings along more satisfaction with this colour….
What do you think, keep it or remove it?
Ich bin mir nicht ganz sicher ob es am bevorstehenden Urlaub in Kalifornien liegt, aber ich musste diesen Nagellack von Essie (California Coral) bei Amazon letzte Woche unbedingt bestellen. Gestern kam dann das Päckchen an und ich bin ehrlich gesagt etwas enttäuscht von der Farbe. Wer mich kennt, weiß dass ich pink überhaupt nicht mag und dieser Nagellack ist mir etwas zu pink. Trotzdem hab ich ihn dann heute aufgetragen und auf den Fotos sieht er auch gar nicht so schlecht aus. Vielleicht finde ich ihn besser wenn der Sommer da ist und ich die ersten richtigen Sommeroutfits auspacken kann. Normalerweise trage ich eher richtige Rottöne bzw. dunkle Rottöne oder andere dunklere Nagellackfarben. Vielleicht kommt mit dem Sommer dann auch meine Begeisterung für diese Farbe….

My way of colour blocking
This is my favorite outfit at the moment. I like the match of the different colours and with the gold jewelry (which you can’t see very good on the picture, sorry for that!) you ad an instant cool and “rich” look as I call it which may sound a bit stupid but I don’t have another word for this. I am still looking for another navy blue blazer but it’s quite difficult to find one, so if you could give me a hint please where to look!
